It's not just a name Jim shouts out just to be dramatic. The Great Worm Spirit lives at the dawn of time and watches over all. He takes on several physical forms, his favorite being either that of a cluster of stars shaped like a worm with a pair of hands or a pink bunny beating on a drum. His true form, however is that of the series creator, Doug TenNapel . Very shrewd Doug, putting yourself in your own cartoon show. The Great Worm Spirit had his life spared when Bob and Jim joined forces to stop the anti-fish from eating the awesome worm in the sky. He later repaid his kindness to Jim by rebooting the universe after Jim and Psy-Crow accidentally destroyed it.
